ITINERARIES

Crema culture

Crema and its historic centre testify an aristocratic past, with a still visible footprint hidden through long narrow streets suddenly opening in majestic squares. Crema’s noble dynasties have embellished the city over centuries, by building elegant villas with magnificent façade hiding behind their high walls extraordinary gardens and great churches with beautiful fresco painting. Well-known buildings (such as Santa Maria della Croce and its unique Greek Cross layout) are placed side by side with other less-known buildings, nonetheless surprising to a keen eye. The Duomo in a Lombard-Gothic style stands close to Chiesa della SS. Trinità, in a perfect italian Baroque, on the main road. The aim of our itinerary is to admire that unique Italian concept of “Bello” and “Buon Gusto” developed through centuries.
